I'm a Jewish Puerto Rican painter working in acrylic, based in Austin. I came to painting through a design education and a career spent building digital products — years of working inside grids, type systems and constraints, which is probably why the canvas became the place where none of that applies.
The paintings are slow. A ground gets built and scraped back over weeks until it holds light on its own, and then a few marks go down quickly. What's left is the part I didn't plan.

I build a ground first — thin layers of acrylic, sanded and reworked until the surface holds light on its own. Then a small number of marks, placed fast. Most of the work is deciding what not to add.
Everything is photographed in a real room, in daylight, leaning where it will actually live. A painting behaves differently at scale than it does cropped to a square.
Hand delivery in the Austin area for an additional charge, quoted by distance. Studio pickup is free.
Worldwide. Stretched and crated, insured, quoted at checkout — international orders may owe customs duties on arrival.
